Police seize 11 tonnes of dagga in one year

A 1955 UN survey recorded 11,051 kg of cannabis seized in Swaziland in 1948, up from 22 kg in 1947, and 529 convictions. Two European buyers from South Africa were arrested and convicted the same year. The series shows both a large one-off haul and the routine criminalisation of a cross-border smallholder trade.[1]
