The Police Narcotics Bureau was established in 1973, centralising enforcement of the Poisons, Opium and Dangerous Drugs Ordinance. The National Dangerous Drugs Control Board chronology records the bureau and a National Narcotics Advisory Board as that year's institution-building. The bureau later supplied the seizure figures used in this profile.[1]
