Somalia raises penalties for supplying drugs and hosting consumption

Somalia set ten years in prison and a 50,000-shilling fine for unlawful drug manufacture, production, import, dealing or supplying another person.[1] Hosting a place for drug consumption carried five years and a fine; entering it to consume carried three years and a fine.[1] Drug cases went to the National Security Court and its regional branches, while earlier offences kept their earlier penalties.[1]
