Singapore codifies cannabis control in the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance

Ordinance No. 7 of 1951 restricted importing, exporting and possessing "Indian hemp" to people with official authorisation. Unauthorised possession could bring a $10,000 fine, five years in prison or both.
