The Straits Settlements consolidate their drug law in a revised edition

The 1927 Deleterious Drugs Ordinance was carried into the 1936 Revised Edition as Chapter 190, which came into operation on 1 September 1936.[1] Its First Schedule still listed Indian hemp, and the 1948 directions added hemp extracts and tinctures to the same paragraph.[2] The revised edition was the text the colony used after the Second World War.[1]
