Other law 🇷🇼 Rwanda

Rwanda expressly includes possession in its drug-use offence

Rwanda’s amended drug offence expressly covered being caught with narcotics or psychotropic substances, alongside consuming them, from 29 November 2019. The clause retained one to two years in prison or community service, an alternative already written into the 2018 law. Separate production and supply offences kept their much heavier tariffs, including a statutory life sentence for the highest category.[1][2][3]
