Norway's Opium Act reaches beyond opium
The Storting replaced the 1913 law, which was limited to opium, opiates and cocaine and carried no penalties, with one covering other narcotics named by royal decree, and added fines or up to six months in prison. Norway had taken on control of cannabis through the 1925 Geneva convention, though the drug was almost unknown there until the 1960s.
