Medicinal drug importers could obtain a one-year licence from Cabinet on the minister’s recommendation, with renewal and record-keeping conditions, under the 2008 revision. Travellers could carry lawfully prescribed drugs for up to one month of treatment.[1] This continued the earlier medicinal import-licensing approach, which had expressly covered Indian-hemp preparations in 1952.[2]
