Mali required special prescription forms for narcotics on its controlled list, including cannabis and resin, and limited each prescription to seven days of treatment, with a fresh prescription needed to continue. Pharmacists had to keep stocks locked up and report theft or diversion, while imports needed a special ministerial certificate. These handling rules operated under the earlier criminal drug law and its scheduled list of narcotics.[1][2]
