Cameroon passes its narcotics control law
Law 97/019 bans growing the cannabis plant (Article 8) and sets ten to twenty years in prison, a fine or both for cultivating, selling or holding high-risk drugs. A small amount for personal use gets a lighter penalty (Article 102). Which plants are in which table is left to a ministerial act.
