Liberia passes its Controlled Drug and Substances Act
The Controlled Drug and Substance Act 2014 is the law that was later amended, with the West Africa Drug Policy Network's help, in a bill that cuts the sentence for drug use and possession from 5 to 20 years to 3 to 18 months and makes cultivation, manufacture, transport and trafficking non-bailable with 10 to 20 years.
