Law No. 150-VIII moved illegal manufacture, processing and production for sale out of the sale article into a new Article 297-1. Ordinary sale now carries five to eight years instead of five to ten, large-scale sale six to ten instead of six to twelve, and aggravated sale seven to twelve instead of ten to fifteen. The new production offence carries five to ten years, rising to fifteen to twenty or life for a criminal group, an official, or illegal production. The law took effect 60 days after publication.[1][2]
