Jordan executed six men by hanging on 21 June 2026, its first executions since March 2017. Three were drug traffickers convicted of killing police or anti-narcotics officers during raids in 2014, 2017 and 2018; the other three were terrorism cases. The government said more than 100 prisoners remained under death sentences and that further executions would follow.[1][2][3]
