Two men caught with more than 51 kg of cannabis resin had their sentences increased from two to four years each.[1] The Court of Appeal held that sentencing began with the full weight, with a limited adjustment for low THC concentration, and revised the lowest trafficking bands into one covering under 2 kg.[1] It also retained more lenient treatment of herbal cannabis than resin, a distinction revisited in 2023.[1][2]
