France creates a consultation network for young cannabis users and their families

A health-ministry circular created consultations for young consumers of cannabis and other psychoactive substances and their families. The network offered free assessment, individual advice, brief care and referral to specialist services, alongside support for parents. Its establishment preceded the February 2005 national cannabis prevention campaign. The programme expanded prevention and treatment services without authorising cannabis use or prescribing cannabis.[1][2]
