Cambodia signed the UN Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs on 30 March 1961 but did not ratify it until 7 July 2005. The convention lists cannabis and cannabis resin among controlled drugs; because Cambodia was not a party, its cannabis controls did not bind the country during the 1960s–1990s.[1]
