Cambodia's king signs drug law banning cannabis cultivation

King Norodom Sihanouk promulgated the drug law parliament had approved the previous December, prohibiting cannabis cultivation with limited research permissions. Cannabis and resin appeared in its most restricted list, bringing production, distribution, purchase and use under the law's controls. Personal-use offences and discretion for very small quantities used in customary village practice were addressed separately.[1][2]
