Hemp 🇧🇬 Bulgaria

Bulgaria's hemp-growing permits move to 0.3% THC

From 5 May 2023 Ordinance No. 1 of 2018 permits registered farmers to grow hemp below 0.3% THC in the leaves and the flowering and fruiting tops, for fibre, for seed for feed or food, or for sowing seed.[1] A crop over 0.3% is destroyed, and the grower declares that the leaves and tops will not be processed.[1] The agriculture ministry's current permit service uses that 0.3% figure and charges no fee.[2] Article 29(1) of the narcotics act, in the consolidation that was read, still says below 0.2%.[3]
