The State Statistical Committee reported 8,863 drug-related criminal cases in 2024, 26.6% of all registered crimes and 11.9% fewer than in 2023. Purchase or storage without intent to sell made up 63.2%, sale or production 33.3% and cultivation 2.6%. The authorities detained 7,245 offenders and recorded 2,420 administrative drug offences; 5,634.4 kg of the 9,330.9 kg seized was marijuana.[1]
