Algeria's security services seized 211.5 tonnes of cannabis resin in 2013, compared with 181.9 tonnes in 2014, according to the annual drug-office figures reported to the EU's Dublin Group. Most of the resin came from Morocco and crossed the Tlemcen route in the north-west, often in loads under 200 kg carried by pack animals, on foot or in vehicles. The report said Tlemcen was the favoured entry point and that trafficking was also rising in Bechar and Ouargla.[1]
