Algeria sets approval rules for medical and scientific cannabis work

Health-ministry authorisation was required for the listed controlled-drug operations, including cannabis cultivation, and could be issued only for medical or scientific purposes.[1] Applicants had to identify the product, quantity and intended use and supply a criminal-record extract; import and export permits lasted three months per operation.[1] The decree also required stock records and secure storage.[1]
