Uruguay creates a national drug-policy board under the presidency

Decree 463/988 established a national drugs board within the presidency to coordinate the response to illicit trafficking and harmful drug use. It formed part of the institutional framework for policy on controlled drugs, including cannabis. Creating the board did not itself amend the rules for personal cannabis possession.[1][2]
