Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin said cannabis would be back on the narcotics list by the end of 2024 and asked the health ministry to allow only medical and health use. The deadline passed without a re-listing. Health Minister Somsak Thepsutin instead signed prescription-only controls in June 2025.[1][2]
