Other law 🇰🇷 South Korea

South Korea separates psychotropic drugs from narcotics

A separate psychotropic drugs law took effect on 1 April 1980, creating a licensing and prescription regime for amphetamines, barbiturates and similar medicines; the 1970 Habit-Forming Drugs Control Act was repealed on the same date. Cannabis stayed under the 1976 Cannabis Control Act, so the change did not alter its penalties. The 1980 law was one of the statutes merged into the Narcotics Control Act in 2000.[1][2]

Listed for context. No score change is recorded for South Korea here.
