Slovenia's Constitutional Court upholds challenged cannabis-control provisions

The Constitutional Court upheld the challenged criminal-code provisions and statutory authority for government drug scheduling. It held that referring to the published cannabis schedule satisfied the requirement that offences be sufficiently defined. It also rejected the challenge to cannabis's Group I listing as manifestly unfounded, while explaining that cannabis consumption itself was not a criminal offence. Challenges to possession-penalty and driving provisions were dismissed without a decision on their merits. The ruling preserved existing controls.[1]
