A Freetown magistrate refused bail to two men accused of unlawful possession of cannabis and kush under the 2008 drug law.[1] They were among ten defendants remanded across separate drug cases at the same hearing; the judiciary's account names cannabis in the allegations against these two.[1] The case shows the possession offence being used against cannabis before the 2024 emergency campaign.[1]
