Serbia opens consultation on hemp and medical cannabis rules

The Health Ministry opened a controlled-substances consultation that ran into January 2017, with meetings in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Kragujevac. Its later report accepted objections to lowering the existing industrial-hemp THC ceiling. It rejected proposals to legalise medical cannabis oil, citing its expert assessment and the availability of cannabinoid medicines.[1]
