Samoa's government rejects legalisation
A month after the Law Reform Commission recommended a regulated regime for medicinal cannabis, the prime minister rejected a call to legalise, and the health minister cited Biblical reasons for keeping the ban. A company's proposal to grow medicinal cannabis was turned down in April 2019.
