Law 1881 added a framework for international judicial assistance and undercover operations to the drug-control law. Added Articles 82–83 allowed investigators to use temporary assumed identities in operations authorised for a limited period by a judge, with prosecutorial involvement. Judicial cooperation included evidence gathering, seizures and asset freezing. These were investigative tools within existing prohibition, covering drugs generally, rather than a new cannabis possession ban or a change to the personal-use quantity exemption. The date is promulgation, confirmed by the signed original on 24 June 2002.[1]
