Macedonia’s drug-control law replaces earlier narcotics frameworks

Published in Gazette 103 on 19 August, the drug-control law took effect on the eighth day after publication. It established controls over cultivation, production, trade and possession and replaced the 1983 republic law on responsible authorities and application of the 1991 federal production-and-trade law. It was a replacement framework, rather than the country’s first cannabis prohibition.[1]
