Debate 🇲🇽 Mexico

Activists end their cannabis camp outside Mexico's Senate

The collectives behind Plantón 420, a protest camp and open cannabis garden set up beside the Senate in early 2020, withdrew after three years. They said the camp had turned into a tolerated green ghetto, that dealers of hard drugs had moved in, and that a regulation law was unlikely under the current government. A second camp at the Estela de Luz was cleared by city workers and police on 23 June 2025.[1]
