Macau’s colonial drug amendment cuts the prison term for use to six months

Portugal published an amendment reducing Macau’s personal-use prison term from six months–one year to a fixed six months, accompanied by a fine.[1][2] It retained separate penalties for supplying drugs to others.[2] The later 1991 replacement introduced a fine as an alternative to prison for personal acquisition or possession.[3]
