Fisheries officer Tebaatei Kourabi received a fine after being convicted of keeping cannabis he had found and used for about a month. The court held that his own evidence and admissions showed he knew what he possessed, and accepted the case without a new test of the seized material.[1] The sentence provided four months in prison if the fine was unpaid, while taking account of his family obligations, cooperation and lack of previous offences.[2]
