Under a pilot programme pharmacies were permitted to dispense cannabis oil to licensed patients. In January 2020 imports were allowed from countries with comparable rules, and in 2022 Israel brought in more than 33,000 kilograms, the largest importer of medical cannabis in the world.[1]
