Germany's administrative court opens the way to individual medical cannabis permits

In case 3 C 17.04, the Federal Administrative Court held that treating an individual patient could serve the public interest required for an exceptional cannabis acquisition permit. It ordered the federal medicines authority to reconsider a multiple sclerosis patient's application. The court did not itself grant a permit; the authority still had to exercise its discretion and examine the other statutory requirements.[1]
