Parliament sends the cannabis Bill back to emaSwati

The Opium and Habit-Forming Drugs (Amendment) Bill, revived in May 2023, was referred back to emaSwati for consultations. The move followed objections that the Bill's Medicines Regulatory Authority would both regulate and trade cannabis, and that rural growers had not been consulted.[1][2]
