Croatia's parliament debates nine plants for every adult

The Social Democrats' bill 'on using the full potential of hemp', submitted in March, would have legalised growing and use and let every adult grow up to nine plants. Thirty signatures were needed to force a debate, and they included deputies from the governing coalition's partners and from the right. The government rejected the bill in its opinion, saying the nine plants would encourage drug use.[1]
