Brazil sets the rules for the religious use of ayahuasca

Resolution 1 of 2010 of the National Drug Policy Council adopted the findings of a working group of officials, researchers and religious groups. Ayahuasca may be prepared and drunk in religious rituals, but not sold, advertised, used as therapy, offered to tourists or taken together with illicit drugs. Cannabis, which one Santo Daime branch had used as a sacrament, stayed illegal.[1]
