The National Security Service stopped two Armenian citizens and an Iranian citizen with 69.3 kg of marijuana near Meghri, after they picked up the load from a cache near Nrnadzor. The case was opened under the aggravated sale and smuggling articles, and a court ordered the two Armenians held. It was one of the largest cannabis seizures reported in Armenia in 2026, alongside a 14.2 kg truck load and a 6 kg handover in Yerevan.[1]
