South Vietnam: US forces test cannabis detection dogs

Two dog-handler teams arrived to help US forces detect cannabis in baggage and around barracks. The dogs had been retrained in Okinawa after the US command requested teams in May, drawing on US Customs experience at border stations. The command history reported finds of discarded cannabis before baggage inspections as the wider suppression campaign targeted both users and their supplies.[1]
