North Dakota reduces possession penalties and ends adult ingestion charges

HB 1050 reduced possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana to a criminal infraction. It also removed marijuana ingestion from the general ingestion offence while retaining an offence for under-21s without medical authorisation. Possession stayed unlawful, and larger amounts retained misdemeanour tiers.[1][2]
