Britain's Wootton Report says cannabis is less harmful than assumed

A government advisory committee concluded that the long-term moderate use of cannabis has no harmful effects, and that nobody should go to prison for possessing a small amount. The Home Secretary rejected it, but the 1971 drug law did put cannabis in a lower class than heroin.
