A man bought cannabis seed at a bazaar in Tejen in March 2008, planted it in his garden and produced 153 grams of marijuana, which he sold for $100. A court sentenced the two men involved to 11 and 10 years in prison. The US State Department's 2010 narcotics report cited the case as an example of how small-scale cannabis growing was punished.[1]
