Spain convicts the founders of its first cannabis association

Four members of ARSEC in Barcelona, the first users' association, were sentenced to four months in prison and a fine. Around the same time a court in Bilbao found that another association had not broken the law, and in 2006 and 2007 club members in Andalusia were acquitted and their crops returned.^[1]
