A Hamas military court in Gaza sentenced two men to death for drug dealing, the first such verdicts since Hamas took power in 2007. One was to be executed by firing squad and the other was sentenced in absentia; the interior ministry said police had seized $2 million of drugs in January, mostly cannabis and narcotics.[1]
