Death penalty 🇵🇰 Pakistan

Pakistan replaces federal cannabis death sentences with prison tables

The federal amendment replaced a shared drug-quantity scale with separate prison ranges for bhang, charas and hashish oil, reaching life imprisonment rather than death.[1][2] Small amounts now carried minimum prison terms: six months for bhang up to 999 grams and ten months for charas up to 499 grams, plus fines.[1] Cannabis had therefore already left the federal death-penalty rows when parliament removed death sentences for other drugs in 2023.[1]
