Tightening 🇰🇵 North Korea

North Korea creates a special drug-crime law with four capital offences

The Supreme People's Assembly Presidium adopted the Drug Crime Prevention Act by decree 638, with prohibitions on opium poppy growing, drug manufacture, smuggling, trade, storage and use, and with reporting and school-education duties. Criminal responsibility runs through 20 articles; illegal opium extraction, narcotics manufacture, smuggling or trading can draw life imprisonment or death, and illegal disposal of seized drugs can do so when combined with those offences. The Act names opium, morphine, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine and precursors, but not cannabis.[1]
