The Dangerous Drugs Amendment Act 1963 received assent. Section 2 replaced the original Schedule's reference to dried flowering or fruiting tops of the pistillate plant with any part of the plant. The amendment broadened the plant material described by the existing definition; it was not New Zealand's first cannabis-control law.[1]
