On stage in Kingston, Tosh lit a spliff and lectured the audience about legalising cannabis, attacking the attending political leaders Michael Manley and Edward Seaga for failing to do it. According to The Gleaner he became a regular target for the police; in September he was arrested at Half Way Tree for smoking marijuana and attacking a police officer, and reported being badly beaten in custody.[1]
