Ban 🇮🇱 Israel

British Palestine's Dangerous Drugs Ordinance covers Indian hemp

The Mandatory government promulgated the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance of 1925, modelled on Britain's Dangerous Drugs Acts. It outlawed the manufacture, import, export and possession of certain dangerous drugs, among them Indian hemp, and was amended in 1928, 1932 and 1936. Hashish kept flowing through Palestine from Syria and Lebanon to Egypt. It formalised a ban on hashish that the military government had announced in 1919.[1]
